Candice was raised in the Los Angeles area, where she witnessed the effects of poverty, racism and oppression, which sparked a lifelong interest on the impact of health on mental health, and vice versa. Candice got her Masters in Social Work from Portland State University, and works with her patients to give them the skills and tools they need to have optimal health and mental health outcomes, and lead quality lives. Candice specializes in treatment of anxiety, self-esteem and grief, and follows the same principles and philosophies she teaches her patients. Candice is an avid believer in physical activity and loves to hike, walk her dog, do strength training and practice yoga. Candice also enjoys listening to podcasts, and building furniture with her husband.
